Ga Noi

Viet Nam, home of Gà Nòi
The origin of gà nòi is unknown. Its history cannot be traced due to the lack of documentation. The 30 years civil war ended in 1975 that killed millions and ruined the whole country further contributed to the lack of information.
Cockfighting in Viet Nam is an old tradition dating back at least 700 years. Gà Nòi is believed to be native of Viet Nam as there is no credible evidence of its origination from elsewhere. Gà nòi have been exported to neighboring countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia in recent decades. Vietnamese cockers living in the United States had also brought gà nòi to the States. Fowls bearing physical resemblance to ga noi can also be found in the Reunion Island

The Brazilian is a breed originally produced by Aseels, Shamos and a little bit of Bankiva Spanish blood, to produce an meddiun-round bird. There is still a lot of variation within the breed, some favouring the THAI and some the Shamo blood

Although they are known in the gamefowl world as "Jungle Fowl," Saipans are really one of the large game, or fighting breeds, The true Jungle Fowl as we know comprise four species of small birds, which inhabit India and Southeast Asia. Saipan Chickens are commonly called Jungle Fowl; however, they are not to be confused with the Jungle Fowl. They are quite different in appearance and temperment from many true Jungle Fowl, and are valued for their beauty. They include the Red Jungle Fowl, ancestor to all our domestic breeds of chicken

Thai

Thai fighting cocks are well known throughout the Asian region for their beauty and fighting skills. They originated in South East Asia, developing from the Red JUNGLE which are present in Thailand, Myanmar,Indochina, and the Philippines.
There are two major types of Thai Gamefowl. They are the Leung Hang Khan and the Pradu Hang Dam. Physical features are generally the same with these birds with the exception of color and the Pradu being slightly larger. Leung Hang Khan refers to the fowl with the yellow to white feathers in the tail and the Pradu Hang Dam refers to the completely black tail feathering

The word ‘Gunkei’ is a different way of translating the Japanese characters for ‘Shamo’. This breed is the largest of all the Japanese ‘Small Shamo’ breeds and is also the most extreme. It has a massive body, strong thick legs and big, fleshy, heavily wrinkled face that becomes more and more grotesque with age, like a little gnarled Bonsai tree. The aim is for exaggeration, but not at the expense of health and vitality. Even in Japan, where they are not at all numerous, some of the birds are not strong in constitution. They do not lay well, and their fertility is not always reliable - so they are not the easiest birds to breed

The Hint Horoz originates in Turkey, where it is an widespread Oriental gamefowl breed. The name means cock from Hindustan (India). Its origins are also found in the Asil  from India, the weight is between 3-.4.5kilograms (6.6-9.9 pounds), it's appearance is highly Asil-like and not all uniform in shape and color. In Turkey, the cockfight is a very old tradition and everywhere there are small and large cockfighting tournaments. In large cities such as Adana, Antalya, Ankara, Alynya, Ismir and Adana Istanbul hold very large tournaments, it brings together many cockfighters from near and far. In the tournament of Turkey will be fought only with natural spurs, the struggle with art spurs or sharp knife, is frowned upon because of the faith. Struggles with nature, fights may last longer than 2 hours, due to their enormous endurance and fighting techniques, the Hint Horoz there are very popular and successful.
